Robber steals bingo profit from workers

NEW GALILEE, Pa. -- One person walked off with the jackpot from the New Galilee Volunteer Fire Department bingo, and he didn't even have to play the game.
Pennsylvania State Police said a man wearing a ski mask and wielding a gun robbed two bingo workers Monday night as they were taking the night's profits home.
Police said the gunman was dressed in dark clothing and said nothing. He pointed a handgun at one woman's face and motioned for her to hand over the bag with the money. Police said it is likely the robber studied the bingo workers' routine.
A $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
A state trooper said no arrests had been made as of Thursday, but troopers have received numerous tips. Anyone with information should contact state police at (724) 773-7400.
