ODOT plans meeting on Beaver Twp. project

NORTH LIMA -- The Ohio Department of Transportation will conduct a public meeting on a $3.3 million Beaver Township bridge and road replacement and improvement project.
The meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 2 at the South Range Elementary gymnasium, 11836 South Ave.
ODOT is planning to replace the Mill Run bridge on state Route 165, rehabilitate the bridge on state Route 165 over state Route 11 and resurface Route 165 from state Route 46 to just east of state Route 164.
Work is scheduled to begin in spring 2008 and be completed that fall. During construction, the bridges will be closed and traffic detoured for varying duration.
ODOT said the project will not affect cultural resources, suspect hazardous waste sites or result in substantial impact to the environment.
During the meeting, plans and maps showing the proposed maintenance of traffic and environmental documentation will be displayed. Representatives from ODOT and design consultants will be available to discuss the projects and answer questions.
Questions and comments may be submitted during the meeting or by mailing them by Nov. 14 to Mohamed Darwish P.E., District Four Deputy Director, Ohio Department of Transportation, 2088 S.
