Foreman killed in construction accident
HILLSBORO, Ohio (AP) -- A steel plate being placed in a large hole apparently hit and killed a construction worker, authorities said Tuesday.
Gregory Miller, 32, of the Milford area in Clermont County, was killed Monday afternoon while at a construction site of the city's sewer system, police said.
Highland County coroner Dr. Paul Terrell said Miller died of "massive blunt trauma."
Dick Gilgrist of the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration said an investigator was at the scene Tuesday.
A statement from West Chester-based Sunesis Construction said Miller was a foreman who had been with the company eight years. He is survived by his wife and their three children.
The company said it is investigating the accident.
