TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO: President Carter strolls across the front of the WFMJ-TV studio shaking hands with some of the 40 Mahoning Valley residents chosen to question him during a televised forum in Youngstown Oct. 20, 1980. Carter, who was being challenged by Republican Ronald Reagan and independent John Anderson, fielded 17 questions, most of them expressing concerns about the economy.
