Social-service groups to be at county event



LISBON -- The second annual "Stand Down" of Columbiana County that was postponed in September has been rescheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 9 and will take place at the Lions Clubhouse, 38240 Industrial Park Road.
The one-day event will provide a bag of food and other items, such as toiletries, blankets, coats and hats, as well as health services through St. Elizabeth Health Center. Those interested may receive information about various organizations in the county and the services that are available to them. Services will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Those agencies represented will be: The Way Station, The Counseling Center, Legal Aid, VA Services, Community Action Agency and Christina House. Any agency or organization wishing to participate in the "Stand Down" or would like to have a copy of the flier faxed to them should contact The Way Station at (330) 482-5072 and ask for Carla Sukosd.
