XYOUNGSTOWN -- Detrinalyn V. Quarles and Derrick Duane Benson were married at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at Nevels Temple Church of God in Christ by Elder Emmitt Nevels Sr. and were honored at a reception at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church hall, Austintown.
The bride's parents are Doris Ann Quarles and John D. Quarles III, both of Boardman, and the groom's parents are Frederick Sr. and Lovie Benson, 347 Mistletoe Ave.
Beaded lace enhanced the bride's white strapless A-line gown.
The honor attendants, Atty. Kysha Currence, Sheronda Benson and Talera Jennings, wore primrose gowns; the bridesmaids, Laura Barnes, Carla Colella and Cindi Evans, wore ivory; and the junior bridesmaids, RaShonda and Mariah Jennings and DeRecia Rawls, wore blue. Flower girl was Elaine Quarles, and miniature bride was Diamond Tate.
Nathaniel Barnes and James Small were best men, and groomsmen were Frederick Jr. and Charles Benson, Alfonso Johnson and Darnell Tate I. Junior groomsmen were Cederick Benson, Christopher Flanagan and AleSaundro Mostella; ring bearer was DaeOne Sol Martin; and miniature groom was Darnell Tate II. Ushers were Eric Williams, Andrew Small and Joshua Trip.
The bride, a Youngstown State University graduate, is employed by Industrial Machining and Design Services, and the groom works for Youngstown Developmental Center.
After a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, Canada, they live at 4605 Michigan Blvd., Liberty Township.
