XMARBLEHEAD -- David Tabaka of Medina and his bride, the former Christine Malkus of Strongsville, honeymooned in Hawaii after their wedding Sept. 17 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church.
The couple exchanged nuptial vows during a 1 p.m. ceremony officiated by Deacon Peter Moore and were honored afterward at a reception held at Mon Ami Winery in Catawba.
Parents of the bride are Timothy and Mary Dreier and Jerry and Ramona Arnold, all of Cincinnati.
The groom's parents are Frank and Julie Tabaka of Poland.
The bride wore a lilac, tea-length, strapless gown and carried a bouquet of lilac roses.
Sara Dreier of Cincinnati, the bride's sister, served as her honor attendant.
Jim Tabaka of Hermitage, Pa., performed the duties of best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Randy Weisenseel of North Olmstead and Scott Ohlin and Ben Guest, both of Akron. The groom's nephew, Teague Tabaka of Hermitage, was the ring bearer.
Mrs. Tabaka is a graphics designer with Deloitte and Touche in Cleveland. She graduated from Kent State University with a degree in communications design.
Mr. Tabaka earned a degree in management information systems at Dayton University and is a software developer with Deloitte and Touche.
