Children's Museum seeks volunteers

YOUNGSTOWN -- The Children's Museum of the Valley, 139 E. Boardman St., needs volunteers.
Liz Nohra, executive director, will host an informational session at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 24 and discuss CMV Crew, a new group of volunteers who will work behind the scenes to build exhibits, improve and repair areas of the museum and help in other ways.
At the meeting, she also will discuss the benefits of crew membership, the needs of the museum and how volunteering will ensure the success of the museum.
There will be refreshments and a behind-the-scenes tour.
Those skilled in carpentry, electrical work, construction, painting or special hobbies are needed. As a start-up, not-for-profit organization, the museum needs volunteers to help fulfill its mission to enrich children's lives.
Call the museum at (330) 744-5914 if you plan to attend.
