Start by visiting a doctor or specialist who works with arthritis patients to develop a treatment plan.
Exercise to reduce stiff joints and pain associated with arthritis.
Take breaks from daily chores, and rest during the day. Sit down when possible while working.
Use tools and equipment that reduce stress placed on joints.
Reduce jarring while operating farm equipment, and make sure seats are padded and support the back.
Lift heavy objects with utility vehicles, or pick up objects using your legs and not the back.
