Westminster 34, Bethany 13
BETHANY -- Senior placekicker Chris Castillo (Austintown Fitch) of Westminster kicked two field goals, including a school-record 47-yard connection in the second quarter, as the Titans defeated Bethany in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game. Castillo's other field goal covered 40 yards also in the second quarter, and both kicks gave Westminster (3-3, 1-2 PAC) a 20-6 halftime lead. He also was 4-for-4 in extra points. T.J. Parker, a junior wide receiver for Bethany (1-6, 0-5) from Fitch, caught a 7-yard TD pass from Brant Owens to give him eight TD receptions for the season that tied a school record. Parker had four catches in the game for 59 yards. Junior defensive back Gary Gerba (Warren JFK) had 11 tackles for Bethany to share the team lead for most tackles. Senior running back Sean Buggey rushed for 216 yards in 27 carries including a pair of TDs covering 2 and 54 yards, to lead Westminster. Buggey also threw a 21-yard scoring pass to J.R. Barley. Barley fired a 17-yard TD pass to Brett Ziegler and finished 11-for-15 passing for 126 yards. Junior wide receiver Jake Buzard (West Middlesex High) caught four passes for 33 yards for the Titans.
Thiel 35, Waynesburg 28
WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- Sophomore tailback Steve Minton ran 6 yards for a touchdown in the second overtime to lead Thiel over Waynesburg in a PAC game. Minton, who rushed for 88 yards on 28 carries, also scored on a 2-yard run in the third quarter which cut Waynesburg's lead to 21-14. The Tomcats tied the game at 21-21 with a 38-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Darrell Satterfield to Brandon Chambers (Farrell) with 5:23 remaining in regulation. Waynesburg (3-3, 1-2 in the PAC) opened the first overtime with an 8-yard touchdown pass from Tres Cobb to Dominick Hunter. Thiel (6-0, 4-0) sent the game to a second overtime with a 25-yard touchdown pass from Satterfield to Tom McEntire (Reynolds). Satterfield completed 24 of 44 passes for 336 yards.
Wittenberg 66, Hiram 0
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- Tristan Murray scored three touchdowns and Wittenberg held Hiram to minus-1 yard of offense in a North Coast Athletic Conference game. Ryan Holmes threw three TD passes, finishing 11-of-18 for 137 yards for the Tigers (3-3, 3-0 NCAC). Hiram's Trevor Henderson completed 7-of-20 passes for 41 yards. The Terriers (1-5, 1-2) ended with minus-45 yards on the ground.
Kenyon 34, Allegheny 27
GAMBIER, Ohio -- Rafael Sanchez threw two touchdown passes and rushed for two scores to lead Kenyon over Allegheny in a NCAC game. Sanchez threw a 13-yard scoring pass to Phelipe Johnson in the second quarter to tie the game at 13. Sanchez completed 18-of-30 for 240 yards for Kenyon (3-3, 3-0 NCAC). Mario Tarquinio scored on 4- and 1-yard runs in the first half for Allegheny (0-6, 0-3). Tarquinio finished with 165 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries. Allegheny's Jimmy Savage completed 29 of 38 passes for 231 yards. He connected with Geiser 13 times for 97 yards.
Wabash 44, Wooster 10
WOOSTER -- Russ Harbaugh passed for four touchdowns and a career-high 452 yards to lead undefeated Wabash. Andy Milligan kicked a 31-yard field goal in the first quarter to give Wooster (4-2, 1-2 NCAC) a 3-0 lead. But Wabash (6-0, 4-0) came back with 38 unanswered points, holding the Fighting Scots scoreless until the fourth quarter.
Slippery Rock 21, Millersville 15
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Senior running back Josh Kniess rushed for a career-high 210 yards and scored three touchdowns as Slippery Rock beat Millersville. Kniess carried the ball 29 times and scored on runs of 43 and 61 yards in the first half for Slippery Rock (3-4). He scored again off a 2-yard run in the third quarter as the Rockets gained 300 yards on the ground. Millerville is 3-5. Corey Manfull (United) rushed for 43 yards in 15 carries and caught two passes for 25 yards for The Rock.
Walsh 45, Taylor 14
UPLAND, Ind. -- Antwain Reine ran for 138 yards and two touchdowns to lead Walsh over Taylor. The Cavaliers (6-1, 4-0 Mid-States Mideast League) jumped out to a 24-7 halftime lead. Quarterback Sam Cerreta completed 6 of 13 passes for 98 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown pass to Darryl Owens. Rob Lash scored two touchdowns on special teams for Walsh. He returned a kickoff 95 yards for a score and a punt 69 yards for a TD. Taylor fell to 0-6 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
Ohio Dominican 27, Malone 13
CANTON -- Chris Reisert threw for four touchdowns and 338 yards to lead Ohio Dominican over Malone in a Mid-States Football Association Mideast League game. Jared Stace caught eight passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns for Ohio Dominican (2-5, 1-3 MSFA Mideast). Malone (2-4, 1-2) led 13-7 at the half. Jevont Freeman ran 23 yards for a score and caught a 12-yard TD pass from Brad Reifsnyder. Reisert finished 28-for-42. Reifsnyder was 20 for 38 for 206 Pioneers yards.
Baldwin-Wallace 35, Heidelberg 22
BEREA -- Brandon Hedges rushed for two touchdowns and Mickey Mental tossed two TD passes to Brian Pickens to lead Baldwin-Wallace. The Yellow Jackets (3-3, 2-3 Ohio Conference) led the entire game. Brad Rhoden had a 58-yard touchdown run early in the first quarter to make it 7-0. Baldwin-Wallace led Heidelberg (0-6, 0-5) 21-9 at the half. Hedges, who finished with 131 yards on 22 carries, ran 9 yards for a score in the third quarter for the Yellow Jackets. Quarterback Shawn Martien answered Hedges' TD by finding Kenny Sims for 14- and 17-yard scores to cut the Baldwin-Wallace lead to 28-22. Mental, who was 11-for-19 for 99 yards, capped Baldwin-Wallace's final scoring drive with a 7-yard TD pass to Pickens.
John Carroll 31, Wilmington 14
WILMINGTON -- Joseph Conrad caught two touchdown passes and gained 93 yards on five carries to lead John Carroll over Wilmington. Doug Phillips completed 25 of 39 attempts for 307 yards and three TDs for the Blue Streaks (4-2, 3-2 OAC). Brandon Harris rushed for 114 yards for Wilmington (2-4, 2-3), which finished with 135 yards on the ground.
Ohio Northern 44, Otterbein 26
ADA -- R.J. Meadows ran for 205 yards and five touchdowns to lead Ohio Northern. Otterbein (4-2, 3-2 OAC) took a 26-25 lead in the fourth quarter when Ricardo Lenhart scored on a 9-yard pass from Paul Stelzer. Meadows answered with 2- and 9-yard TD runs, and Derek Garrod tacked on a 1-yard scoring run for the Polar Bears, who had a 19-17 lead at the half. Garrod rushed for 102 yards on 21 carries for Ohio Northern (5-1, 4-1). Polar Bears quarterback Adam Quirk finished 7-for-15 for 111 yards. Stelzer was 14-of-30 for 172 yards and two touchdowns. He threw two interceptions.
