SUSAN GEARSAM CARSONIE
XYOUNGSTOWN -- The marriage of Susan Gear, 5691 Loretta Drive, Boardman, and Sam Carsonie, 3303 Estates Circle, was solemnized by the Rev. David Rhodes at 2 p.m. Sept. 10 at St. Christine Church.
Parents of the bride are Robert and Gail Puccio, 5691 Loretta Drive, and the groom's parents are Diane Carsonie of Youngstown and Samuel Carsonie of Poland.
After the ceremony a reception was held in honor of the newlyweds at Leo's Ristorant & eacute; in Howland.
The couple honeymooned on the Hawaiian island of Kaui and live at the groom's address.
The bride wore a two-piece, A-line gown of ivory organza enhanced with multicolored embroidery on the bodice and train.
Plum-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Melissa McKay of Columbus, and the bridesmaids, Lyndsey Conner of Canfield, and Maura Puccio of Pittsburgh, a sister of the bride.
Brian Hallquist of Youngstown performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Adam Gear of Boardman, the bride's brother, and James Whippo of Austintown.
Mrs. Carsonie graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She is an administrative assistant with Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley.
Mr. Carsonie is an installer with Clayton Heating and Air Conditioning Co.
