Oct. 5
Criminal trespassing: A Delaware Avenue man told police that he confronted two men in his garage. They left without incident.

Oct. 6
Criminal damaging: A vehicle at Stadium Volkswagen, 7850 Market St., had its driver's-side window broken.
Theft/counterfeit: Four counterfeit checks were passed at First Place Bank, 724 Boardman-Poland Road, resulting in a loss of $2,479.61.
Recovered property: A man found a stolen 1990 Chevy Cheyenne pickup truck belonging to a Boardman woman. It had no apparent damage.
Theft/bad checks: A man discovered that checks were stolen while he was at Days Inn, 8392 Market St., and that about $2,000 was missing from his account.
Theft: A man realized after using his automated-teller-machine card at Home Savings and Loan, 4005 Hillman Way, it had been fraudulently used at a gas station and an auto parts store.
Theft: A customer pumped $71.25 worth of gasoline at a Shell station, 950 Boardman-Poland Road, and left without paying.
Theft: Police arrested two Youngstown girls, 15 and 16, on theft charges. Each was accused of stealing more than $100 worth of jewelry from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall. One of the girls also was charged with possession of tobacco products by someone under 18.
Theft: An employee at Master Park Martial Arts International, 224 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported the theft of 20 cinder blocks from in front of the business.
Burglary: An 18-year-old Boardman man was picked up on a warrant charging him with burglary. He was accused of burglarizing a home in the 4200 block of Stratford Avenue.

Theft: Two employees at Burger King, 841 Boardman-Poland Road, discovered a total of $50 missing from two registers.
Forgery: A customer presented three forged checks totaling $3,022.52 at Seven Seventeen Credit Union, 7371 California Ave.
Possible burglary: A Whippoorwill Lane woman told police that, while in another room, she heard a man's voice in her residence. Nothing appeared to be missing.
Felonious assault: An employee of a tree service company reported a driver deliberately struck him and threatened him as he placed road cones in the 5200 block of Trotter Drive.
Burglary: A man in the 5400 block of South Avenue discovered his home was broken into. Jewelry, fishing equipment, a wristwatch, photographs and medications were taken.
Theft: A man came out of a restroom at Kinko's, 48 Boardman-Poland Road, and noticed his cellular phone missing.
Theft: A man in the 100 block of Afton Avenue reported a United Parcel Service package was removed from his front porch.
Theft: A Youngstown man, 46, was charged with theft after a package of diapers was taken from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 43-year-old Boardman man on a domestic-violence charge at the Boardman Inn, 7109 Market St., after a woman alleged he grabbed her arm and threw her to the ground during an argument.
Theft: Someone stole a Sony camcorder and two cellular phones from Radio Shack, 7131 Tiffany Blvd.
Criminal damaging: An employee at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive, reported his car's driver's-side window broken.
Arrest: Police took a 40-year-old Boardman man into custody on charges of assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, obstructing official business and criminal trespassing. The suspect's father said the two fought over money; police say the suspect also fought with them.
Burglary: A 19-year-old Boardman man faced a burglary charge. He was accused of breaking into a residence and taking a DVD player, DVD games and money, and police say he confessed the crime.

Criminal damaging: A woman discovered damage to lawn decorations at her home in the 6800 block of Tanglewood Drive.
Theft: A man in the 900 block of Augusta Drive reported the theft of lawn decorations.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 7500 block of Eisenhower Drive reported someone drove over his lawn.
Theft: A woman in the 1200 block of Valley View Drive discovered yard decorations stolen.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 100 block of Stadium Drive reported damage to her vehicle's paint and tires.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged in the 4800 block of Grover Drive.
Assault: A man in the 1800 block of Oles Avenue was a victim.
Burglary: To a residence in the 1800 block of Canavan Drive.
Recovered property: A stolen vehicle was found at Splash & amp; Shine Auto Bath Inc., 869 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Auto theft/recovered property: An employee at Donnell Ford, 7975 Market St., reported a car stolen from the business. The vehicle was recovered at Taylor Toyota, 8250 Market St., with its tires and rims removed.
Breaking and entering: At Yankee Kitchen Restaurant, 6635 Market St.
Arrest: A 43-year-old Youngstown woman was picked up near Market Street and Judson Avenue on a warrant from Boardman charging her with criminal simulation.
Theft: Police arrested an 18-year-old Poland man on a theft charge. He was accused of stealing items from Value City Department Store, 1130 Boardman-Poland Road.
Citation: A Salem man, 25, was cited near South Avenue and Trailwood Drive on a charge of disorderly conduct while intoxicated.
Oct. 10
Theft/drugs: Officers arrested an 18-year-old Boardman man on charges of theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. A theft took place at Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road and, police say, they found suspected drug paraphernalia during a search.
Vandalism: To a vehicle at Stadium Volkswagen.
Burglary: To an apartment in the 7200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
Theft: A worker at Ron-Joy Nursing Home, 830 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported $200 missing.
Aggravated menacing: An employee at Smaldino's Sunrise Deli & amp; Pizza, 8585 South Ave., reported receiving a threat of arson against the business.
Assault: A man reported that his son was assaulted in a parking lot in the 6000 block of Applecrest Court.
Arrest: Boardman police arrested an Austintown man, 24, at Forum Health Northside Medical Center, 500 Gypsy Lane, on charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, misuse of a credit card and receiving stolen property.
