FLU SHOTS Where to go



Flu and pneumonia shots are being provided by various organizations in the community. Some upcoming clinics:
Friday: Sunrise Assisted Living of Poland, 335 McKinley Way, Poland. Flu and pneumonia shots, 1 to 4 p.m. Shuttle service from Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, to Sunrise. The cost is $20 for flu and $35 for pneumonia shots, or Medicare Part B will be accepted. There will be free refreshments, chair massages, blood pressure checks, heights and weights, live entertainment and door prizes.
Tuesday: Visiting Nurse Association, 518 E. Indianola Ave., Youngstown. By appointment only for people 65 years of age and older, or high risk people under 65 with chronic illnesses such as diabetes or asthma. The cost is $20 or Medicare Part-B will be accepted. Call (330) 782-5606.
Oct. 21: St. Charles Church Hall, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman. Forum Health At Home, in partnership with St. Charles Health Ministries, will offer a flu vaccine clinic for adults from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until 400 vaccines have been given, whichever comes first. The cost is $20, but is free for those with traditional Medicare. People are asked to bring their Medicare card.
