VOLLEYBALL Hubbard gets TAC share
HUBBARD -- Callie Oyler scored 14 points and had nine kills and six aces to lead Hubbard over Brookfield and a share of the Trumbull Athletic Conference Tuesday night. The Eagles (19-2, 12-1), ranked fifth in the state coaches Division II poll, won 25-14, 25-13, 25-14. The Eagles got nine kills and four blocks from Maggie Bogdan, while Corrie Gasser had 28 assists, 12 digs and nine points; Kate Tobey had 10 digs, and Brittany Lange had eight kills and four blocks.
Morgan Bonekovic led the Warriors (6-15, 5-9) with 11 kills, eight digs and four blocks. Taralee Williams had 30 assists and three points. The Eagles will play host to Girard (16-5, 11-2), the 12th ranked team in Div. III, today at 6:50 p.m.
