PREP VOLLEYBALL Springfield clinches tie for ICL crown

Salem clinched a tie for the Metro Athletic Conference title.
NEW MIDDLETOWN -- Meghan McLaughlin scored 11 points, with four aces and 15 kills in leading the Springfield High to a 25-23, 17-25, 25-22, 25-23 victory over South Range Tuesday.
The Tigers (13-6, 9-2) clinched a tie for the Inter-County League title as Christy Warren added eight points, with two aces, 10 kills and two blocks. Nora McKelvey had eight points and Whitney Yeager finished with 16 kills and nine blocks.
The Raiders (11-10, 7-4) were led by Megan Sosnowski with 20 assists. Annie Semko had nine kills and four blocks and Tara Chizmar had 10 kill and four blocks.

NORTH JACKSON -- Alyssa Chine scored 17 points with four aces to pace the Bluejays (10-9, 8-3) in the ICL contest. Megan Whitmer added 14 points, six aces and 19 assists. Jacque Schrader paced the Rockets (3-14, 0-9) with 18 points and eight kills. JVs: Jackson-Milton 25-9, 25-17.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Antaya James scored 14 points including two aces for the Cowboys (13-5) who won the Steel Valley Conference title with a 7-0 league mark.
Jacquela Teamor added two aces and 20 assists and Jasmyn Hopkins had seven blocks and five kills. For Mooney (17-3, 5-1 SVC), Brittany Bleggi scored 16 points and Victoria Kocanjer had seven kills and 13 blocks.

SALEM -- Brittany Gregory had 12 kills, two tips and a block for the Quakers (15-6, 9-0) in the Metro Athletic Conference match.
Sarah Brobeck added 12 kills and two aces as Salem clinched at least a tie for the MAC championship.
Jackie Neatwick led the Cardinals with seven kill and six blocks. Natasha Kassim had four kills, four blocks and four aces.
Struthers 25-26-25,Niles 20-24-10
STRUTHERS -- Jeanette McLaughlin had 12 points and 12 kills to lead Struthers in a MAC match.
Dana Varga added 18 assists for the Wildcats (7-14, 3-7 MAC), while Brianne Ciccone had eight aces and 11 digs. Niles (4-17, 0-9) was led by Sarah Infante with six kills and Laura Ruberto with four blocks. JVs: Struthers 25-21, 25-23

SEBRING -- Kayla Faudree had 12 points and five kills while Briana Jones bolstered the attack with 12 points and three assists for the Trojans (11-10, 6-6 ICL).
Ashley Ambeli aided Sebring with 10 points and 11 kills.
For the Rams (10-10, 5-6), Heather Reinhart was in with seven points, five aces and six kills. Abbey Kiger had five points, 17 kills and four blocks. JVs: Mineral Ridge, 25-21, 25-18.

WARREN -- Belinda Hernon had 31 digs, 30 kills, 14 assists, seven points and five blocks to lead Warren Harding (10-8). Jasmine Stringer had 22 kills, 15 points and two aces while Bre Carpenter added 38 digs to reinforce the Raiders.
For Ursuline (8-10), Myesha Mendenhall had 51 assists, Janie Williams 12 kills and Akeela Bowen seven blocks.
