NORTH JACKSON -- April Melquist collected nine points, two aces, nine kills and 13 solo blocks as the Boardman High volleyball team defeated Jackson-Milton 25-20, 25-20, 25-18 Monday.
Ali Sfara added 19 points, four aces and 15 kills for the Spartans (14-7).
For Jackson-Milton (9-9), Megan Whitmer scored 14 points, collected 55 sets and 18 assists.
Karly Gibbs had 10 points and Allison Chepke had eight kills.

STRUTHERS -- Jennifer McLaughlin had 18 kills, eight blocks and 16 digs for Struthers (6-14, 2-7 Metro Athletic Conference).
Jeanette McLaughlin added seven aces and 13 kills, while Brianne Ciccone had 21 points and seven aces for the Wildcats.
Poland (7-12, 4-6) was led by Doni Muransky with 20 digs and 13 kills, and Ashley Conger with 16 assists and 12 kills.

MINERAL RIDGE -- Jordan Harduae was in with 10 serves, three aces and eight digs to pace Mathews.
Sophie Padduck contributed seven kills and four blocks.
For the Rams, Alayna Spackman had six serves with an ace and Heather Reinhart had five serves, an ace and six kills.

MINERAL RIDGE -- The Mustangs (14-1) were led by Breanne Gollan with four serves and two aces.
Also for the Mustangs, Jenna Manz had four serves, two aces and 23 assists.
