State gives $5,000 to nonprofit area clinic
YOUNGSTOWN -- Ohio Attorney General Jim Petro has awarded $5,000 to Ohio North East Health Systems, the nonprofit organization that operates community health centers in Youngstown, Warren and Alliance.
The money comes from various charitable gambling settlements reached on behalf of the state, according to Petro.
Ohio North East Health Systems, which includes Good Samaritan Community Health Center in Alliance, Warren West Community Health Center, and Youngstown Community Health Center, was chosen to receive funding because of its continued efforts to provide quality medical and dental health care to uninsured and underinsured children and adults.
The money will be used for operational costs, Petro said.
