XBOJNICE, Slovakia -- Bojnice Chateau was the setting Sept. 3 for the wedding of Lucia Papiernikova, a daughter of Alena and Frantisek Papiernik, 36 Turkovej, Trencin, Slovakia, and R. Jude Liptak, 390 Fairway Lookout, Williamsburg, Va., a son of Ron and Connie Liptak, 7670 Paulin Drive, Poland.
The Rev. Jim Curran of Yorktown, Va., presided at the 2 p.m. ceremony, and a reception followed at the Hotel Brezina. After a honeymoon on the French Riviera and Monaco, the couple live in Williamsburg.
The bride's candlelight satin gown was enhanced with crystal beads and featured an inlaid panel on the front of the skirt. Her ivory waist-length veil was gathered to a crystal tiara.
A pastel-pink gown was worn by the honor attendant, Sona Kucharovicova of Trencin. Flower girl was Vuvana Demkova of Senica, Slovakia, the bride's cousin.
Zachary Liptak of Poland was best man for his brother.
The bride is the office manager at Colonial Center for Hearing in Williamsburg and is completing her bachelor's degree in business management. She attended the University of Bratislava in Slovakia.
The groom graduated magna cum laude from Kent State University with a bachelor's and a master's degree in audiology and speech pathology. He is in the doctoral program at Pennsylvania College of Optometry and Audiology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is in private practice as audiologist at Colonial Center For Hearing.
