GIRARD | City council Girard City Council, during a regularly scheduled meeting Monday, approved the following legislation:

An ordinance authorizing the service director to enter into a contract with Shelly & amp; Sands Inc. of Girard for the paving of sections of Amherst and Stull avenues; Market, Stewart, Ella and West Broadway streets; and Otis Court. The contract is not to exceed $75,000.
An ordinance authorizing the service director to advertise for bids for State Issue 2 project for the installation of about 8,000 feet of waterline beginning at the intersection of Belmont Avenue and Tibbetts-Wick Road to Keefer Road and on to Goist Lane.
An ordinance amending two previous ordinances to increase appropriations for calendar year 2005 for 18 city funds.
An ordinance rescinding a previous ordinance that created a 50-year moratorium on residential and industrial development for the Girard Lakes property.
A resolution adopting the 2004 Community Housing Improvement Program policy and procedures manual for the city if Girard.
An ordinance authorizing the service director to advertise for bids for the purchase and installation of security cameras at Liberty Memorial Park.
