"SOS: Coast Guard Rescue" (10 p.m., Discovery Channel): In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard rescued more than 22,000 people. On "SOS: Coast Guard Rescue," viewers can witness footage of these heroes in action. This new series premieres with a one-hour special featuring up-close video from rescues in Katrina's aftermath. Then it moves to its regular time slot, 10 p.m. Tuesdays, to follow other Coast Guard missions along the 95,000 miles of coastline it patrols.
"Bad Baths USA" (8 p.m., HGTV): Now don't get flush, but HGTV is exposing the world's worst bathrooms. Among these homely horrors: A bathroom in a Centreville, Mich., home that features a sunken tub with faucets in the floor, and psychedelic wallpaper; a New York City bathroom with no doors but with the residence's only closet; a bathroom in Clawson, Mich., with no sink and the basement visible through the floor and its attic in sight above the ceiling. And check out that Pepto-Bismol color scheme in the bathroom in Yardley, Pa.
"Little Einsteins" (7 p.m., Disney Channel): Two episodes of this sing-along program dedicated to preschoolers make up its season premier tonight. At 7, Leo must retrieve his baton or else he can't conduct the sun to rise. The second episode finds the gang in the midst of a meteor shower. There is only one way to get out of such danger -- rock out to the beat.
"The Cole Conspiracy" (9 p.m., The History Channel): Terror experts contend that the attack on the USS Cole in October 2000 should have raised many more red flags about Osama bin Laden than it did. This program highlights not only the suicide bombing by boat but also the also pre-9/11 efforts of FBI agent John O'Neill and then-terrorism czar Richard Clarke to warn the administration about other impending attacks.
"Mysteries of Survival" (8 p.m., National Geographic): A skier is lost in the Colorado mountains, alone, and with a broken leg. Somehow, a man is left out in the desert without food or water. How do some people stay alive in such harrowing circumstances while others succumb quite quickly? Every person featured in this program began his day "just like any other," so you might want to pay attention.
"Marrying Tribe" (8 p.m., The Travel Channel): If there was ever a program proving that "family values" is a relative term, it just might be this one. Deep in the Amazon jungle sits Warrior Island. We aren't sure if that name is a total misnomer, but we can say that members of the Zoe tribe that lives there swap wives and husbands on a regular basis with very little disagreement. No information is available as to whether in-laws as also available for trade.
"The Hunt for the BTK Killer" (9 p.m., CBS): Gregg Henry stars in this made-for-TV movie as Dennis Rader, the seemingly harmless Wichita, Kan., resident who was found to be one of the nation's most wanted serial killers. For 17 years, Rader terrorized his community, killing 10 people and taunting law officials along the way. Robert Forster and Michael Michele also star.
