XBOARDMAN -- Thomas George Diamond and his bride, the former Jacquelyn Lucille Green, both of Akron, honeymooned in Aruba after their wedding Sept. 10 at St. John Greek Orthodox Church.
The Revs. Thomas Constantine and Jerry Hall officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of David and Cynthia Green, 2369 Giffels Drive, Cuyahoga Falls, and the son of Thomas and Sophianne Diamond, 34 Venloe Drive, Poland.
A reception was held in honor of the newlyweds at the Byzantine Center at the Grove, Youngstown.
Rhinestones and embroidery embellished the bride's white strapless A-line gown and train.
Wearing sky-blue gowns were the honor attendants, Jackie Zorich and Christy Strebel, and the bridesmaids, Cristina Pastore, Stephenie Chorba, Carla Cuccia, Briana Cogar, Cristin Mcdade and Carey Cramer. Flower girls were Elyssa Dombrosky and Dylan Freborg.
Adam Diamond served as best man, and groomsmen were Jasen Smolk, Justin Luby, Brett Justice, Justin Czekaj, Jeff Hobart and Danny Green. Ring bearer was Constantinos Kayafas, and ushers were Tony Laurie, Scott Pavalko, Mark Nye and Craig Lyons.
The bride and groom graduated from the University of Akron with bachelor's degrees, hers in dance and his in mechanical engineering. She is in provider relations with Health Design Plus in Hudson, and he is a mechanical engineer with the Hoover Co. in Canton.
They live at 1040-C Rockybrook Drive, Akron.
