Reynolds powers Rebels to 41-0 win over Bears
The Eagles and Bulldogs also posted league wins.
NEW WATERFORD -- Jordan Reynolds threw a pair of touchdown passes and kicked five extra points to pace the Crestview High football team to a 41-0 rout of Leetonia in a Tri-County League game on Friday.
Colby Henderson and Adam Thompson each scored two touchdowns.
Reynolds connected on a 15-yard strike to Colby Henderson and on a 2-yard flip to Justin Coie, while Henderson also scored on a 40-yard pass interception and Thompson tallied on 8-yard and 1-yard runs.
Thompson rushed for 134 yards in 25 carries while Reynolds completed 5-for-8 passing for 59 yards. Reynolds rushed for 78 yards in 12 carries.
Crestview (6-1, 4-0), which was ranked No. 5 in Region 17 of Division V in the computer ratings, rushed for 317 yards in 52 attempts while holding Leetonia (4-3, 1-2) to only 34 yards in 31 tries. Crestview also enjoyed a 19-3 first down edge.
Leetonia was ranked No. 7 in Region 21 of Division VI in the computer ratings.
United 27, Southern 12
SALINEVILLE -- The United High football team, leading by a point, outscored Southern 20-6 in the second half to prevail.
Jordan Wrask rushed for 109 yards on 13 carries for the Eagles (3-4, 2-2) which included touchdown runs of 3 and 2 yards.
Nick Puckett led the Indians (3-4, 1-3) with 136 yards on 30 carries and scored a pair of 5-yard TD runs.
East Palestine 28,Wellsville 12
WELLSVILLE -- Wellsville took a 6-0 lead in the first quarter, but East Palestine, which snapped a six-game losing streak, countered with 14 points in the second period.
The Tigers (3-4, 0-4) cut the deficit to 14-12 in the third quarter, but the Bulldogs (1-6, 1-3) put the game away with 14 more points in the final 12 minutes of action.
Zac Dunn scored on runs of 1 and 5 yards to trigger the Bulldogs' attack.
Jamaar Pullie, who rushed for 100 yards on 26 carries, scored both of the Tigers' TDs on 5-yard runs.
Senior defensive end Danny Saylor led the East Palestine defense. He had 10 tackles, knocked down a pass in the red zone and came up with a fourth-down quarterback sack.
