RESULTS Garden Forum names winners following autumn flower show

YOUNGSTOWN -- The Garden Forum of the Greater Youngstown Area is announcing the names of winners of its annual autumn flower show held Sept. 17 and 18 at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.
Blue ribbons in the design category were awarded to: Pearl Marlos, Gleaners; Esther Bertch and Beverly Italiano, Nature Lovers; Karin Cochran, East Liverpool; and Kathleen Willingham, TCHS.
Marlos also received two gold seals in design.
Recipients of blue ribbons in horticulture were: Mary Harshman, Norma McMahon, Margaret Raupach, Irene John and Mary Schall, Austintown; Dianna Mullins, Sheila Bowman and Bertch, Nature Lovers; Jean Davidson and Dorothy Fizet, Sweetbriar; Martha Murphy, St. Edward; Dorothy Haddox, Our Lady of Fatima; Marlos and Millie Campean, Gleaners; Willingham, TCHS; Charlene Flesch, Immaculate Heart of Mary; Resek, Mahoning; and Carol Lunger, member at large; and Rodney Toth, Hugh Earnhart, Richard Smith, Lynn Hoffman and Bill McPherson, Men's Garden Club.
Gold Seal winners in the horticulture category were Marlos, Smith, and Toth, winning two.
Haddox served as chairperson for the event, and judges were Elsie DeHoff, Haddox, Resek, Davidson, Laura Miller and Marlos. Student judges were Willingham, Campean and Mary Lou Flere.
