St. E's: consumers' choice
The National Research Corporation has recognized St. Elizabeth Health Center as a 2005/06 Consumer Choice Award winner.
The award identifies hospitals that health care consumers have chosen as having the highest quality and image in 180 markets throughout the United States, according to NRC.
Of the 3,000 hospitals named by consumers in the study, the winning facilities rank highest in their Metropolitan Statistical Areas, as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau. The 2005/06 NRC Health Care Market Guide study surveyed more than 200,000 households representing 400,000 consumers in the contiguous 48 states and the District of Columbia.
"This award means a great deal, because it's from our community -- the people we serve," said Robert Shroder, president and chief executive officer of Humility of Health Partners, parent company of St. Elizabeth.
