WARREN -- Two youths were arrested after a confrontation with Councilman Robert L. Dean Jr., D-at large, and a television crew.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on menacing and disorderly conduct charges, and a 16-year-old boy was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge.
Police were dispatched at 6:01 p.m. Thursday to Fourth Street and Highland Avenue, where the councilman and Jennifer Brindisi, a WKBN-TV Channel 27 reporter and anchor, complained the 17-year-old was yelling expletives and threatening the news crew, which was filming possible drug activity.
Brindisi said the 17-year-old yelled at the camera operator to stop videotaping and "got into her face," the report states.
When they arrived, police observed the 16-year-old screaming at Dean and Brindisi, and police said the younger boy continued to yell at police and Dean and continued his disruptive behavior after being advised several times to stop.
The boys were released to their grandmother.
