PREP VOLLEYBALL Tigers post 12th win against J-M

Springfield dropped the first game, but rallied to win three straight.
NORTH JACKSON -- Meghan McLaughlin had 12 points and 14 kills to help the Springfield High volleyball team defeat Jackson-Milton 21-25, 25-12, 26-24, 25-15 in an Inter-County League match on Thursday.
Whitney Yaeger had 13 kills and Christy Warren added 23 points for Springfield (12-6, 8-2).
Allison Chepke had 14 points, 10 kills and 24 digs for Jackson-Milton (8-7, 7-3) and Scarlett Chepke had eight kills and seven blocks.

BERLIN CENTER -- Senior setter Leta Lenhart had 15 points, four kills, four digs and 32 assists, junior hitter Lainey Kekic had 16 points, three aces, 15 kills and six blocks and senior hitter Rachael Hernan had 19 points, 12 kills and 11 digs for Western Reserve (9-10, 4-7).
Abbey Kiger had 17 kills, four blocks and two points, while Heather Reinhart had eight kills, seven points and three aces for Mineral Ridge (9-6, 5-5).

SEBRING -- Kayla Faudree scored 22 points, with nine aces and five kills to pace the Trojans (8-10, 5-6 ICL).
Briana Jones added 16 points, five aces and seven assists. Tricia Eaton had four kills, 10 assists and two blocks.
Samantha DeBlasio led the Rockets (3-13, 0-8) with five points, three aces, two kills and four assists. Jacque Schrader had five points, three aces, seven kills and eight assists.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Senior outside hitter Antaya James had nine points and seven kills, senior outside hitter Breonna Rivers had five aces, junior outside hitter Antoinette Smith had four kills and sophomore setter Jacquela Teamor had seven assists for Chaney (12-5, 6-0 Steel Valley Conference).

YOUNGSTOWN -- Vicki Kocanjer scored 19 points had seven kills and six blocks for the unbeaten Cardinals (17-0, 5-0).
Dayna Daltorio had 10 points, seven digs and seven blocks and Michelle Pelini had nine points and nine digs.
Myesha Mendenhall led the Irish with 10 assists. Janie Williams had six digs and Danielle Crafter had four kills and two aces.

SALEM -- Junior middle hitter Brittany Gregory had 16 kills, three blocks and two aces; sophomore middle hitter Sarah Brobeck had 17 kills, two tips and two blocks and freshman setter Taylor Toothman had 39 assists for Salem (14-5).

HOWLAND -- Senior setter Brittany Kelly had 20 points, seven aces, 15 assists, three kills, one dig and two saves, senior middle hitter Tara Rose had eight points, nine kills, three aces, three blocks and three digs and sophomore middle hitter Katlyn Flick had 11 points, seven kills, four aces and one save for Howland (15-3, 7-1 Metro Athletic Conference).
For Niles, Rachel Mishko had four points, Sara Infante had three blocks and Christy Mickel had six assists.
