Police arrest man in downtown assault

YOUNGSTOWN -- Police arrested a man shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday near Central Square and charged him with assaulting a man in front of the victim's business.
Mederick Price, 48, no address given, was taken into custody in the 100 block of West Federal Street and charged with misdemeanor assault after the business owner told police he was punched in the chin.
According to a report, Price had been standing in front of the business for several days bothering patrons. When the victim asked him to leave, Price refused and struck him once.
