United Local band to sponsor baton competition

HANOVERTON -- United Local School Band Boosters will sponsor a Twirling Unlimited Baton Competition Oct. 15 in the high school gym, 8143 state Route 9.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. and continue through midday. The concession stand will be open.
Scheduled are group events including dance twirl, pompoms, novelty, strut teams, twirl teams, color guard, high school majorette squads and corps.
Individual events will include basic strut, military strut, college solo, modeling, best appearing, fancy strut, parade march, flag, duets, two-baton, three-baton and boys solo.
Multiple age groups are available per event.
Phone entries may be made to (330) 666-1163 or faxed to (330) 665-1862 by 9 p.m. Oct. 10, to avoid a late charge.
Mail entries and fees may be sent by Oct. 8 to Twirling Unlimited, 700 Ghent Road, Akron 44333.
