Since Ronald Carabbia of Poland, a reputed organized crime leader in the Mahoning Valley, was jailed in 1978, there have been seven gangland murders in the area. The FBI is looking for a connection. None of the murders has been solved.
A compromise may be in the works as Warren city workers continue their battle with city council over retroactive residency requirements for city employees.
