Poland boys blank Hubbard, 3-0
Cardinal Mooney lost to CVCA, 2-1.
POLAND -- Sophomore forwards Blake Rhein and Alan Gavolas and freshman middle forward Sam Romeo scored goals Tuesday as the Poland High soccer team defeated Hubbard, 3-0.
Senior midfielder Matt Shurilla had an assist for the Bulldogs (10-1-1). Poland outshot the Eagles, 11-2.
Hubbard goalkeepers Joe Cummings and Galen Hayek each made one stop.
Hubbard's record is 6-5-1.
CVCA 2, Mooney 1
STRUTHERS -- Ben Zemanski scored both goals for the Royals.
Mooney scored when freshman Hector Hernandez took a pass from Zack Hernan and got a goal to tie the game 1-all at the half.
Andrew Loudon had seven saves in goal for Mooney (8-3-1).
Joe Sosler had three saves for CVCA.
West Branch 3, Minerva 1
BELOIT -- Nathan Diehl scored two goals and Clay Criss had one, while Johnny Wallace had two assists and Joe Starkey one for the Warriors.
Eric Warrick had Minerva's goal on a penalty kick and goalie Joe Gotschall had eight saves for the Lions.
West Branch goalie Shane Young had seven saves, including one on a penalty kick.

NEW MIDDLETOWN -- The Springfield girls soccer team, behind 1-0 after the first half, rallied for two goals in the second half to beat Garfield 2-1 at the Tigers' field.
Carrie Ritzler, sophomore, scored the winning goal for the Tigers (8-3-2) with 15 minutes remaining in the game. Breanne Mincher, freshman, scored a goal a little earlier to tie it at 1 all.
Olivia Dressler scored the goal for the G-Men (4-7-2) in the first half time.
Courtney Paulin, goalkeeper, made nine saves for the Tigers. Sharissa Stamper made 15 saves for Garfield.
