Crash kills Farmdale man on state Route 5

BAZETTA -- A 50-year-old Farmdale man suffered fatal injuries when he tried to pass a tractor-trailer on its right side, hit the front of the truck and was forced into the path of an oncoming car, said the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Andrew Sucky, of Sodom Hutchings Road, who was driving northeast on state Route 5 just south of Wilshire Drive at 9:31 p.m. Monday, was pronounced dead at St. Joseph Health Center, Warren.
The driver of the oncoming car, Jeanne M. Williams, 55, of Templeton Road, Leavittsburg, was taken to Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital, where she was in satisfactory condition.
The truck driver, Thomas J. Tirabassi, 48, of West Omar Street, Struthers, was not injured.
