"Nova: Sinking the Supership" (8 p.m., PBS): The Japanese battleship Yamato, twice the size of American warships, had been built in secrecy and launched just after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The ship, which saw little military action during the war, was brought down by an explosion that killed 3,000 Japanese sailors. This program shows how a team of explorers is working to learn the secrets of the ship's design and its final mission. An American dive-bomber pilot and two Japanese survivors of the sinking also are interviewed.
"Ultimate Hustler" (9 p.m., BET): It's a hip-hop version of "The Apprentice," with music mogul Damon Dash as the show's Donald Trump.
"Frontline" (9 p.m., PBS): It's been 10 years since O.J. Simpson was acquitted after more than a year of televised drama. This program recalls how the case brought attention to the legal system -- and to "deep and enduring racial rifts." It also aims to determine what "lasting impact" it will have on the justice system.
"Adam Carolla Project" (10 p.m., TLC): Adam Carolla tries to renovate a home with the help of "unemployable idiots," though Jimmy Kimmel is not on the show.
"Close to Home" (10 p.m., CBS): In this new drama series, Jennifer Finnegan stars as an Indianapolis prosecutor returning to work after maternity leave. Now, more than ever, she's intent on nailing suburban bad guys who commit domestic crimes. It's yet another series from the prolific production company of Jerry Bruckheimer.
