Crestview wins boys TCL crown
James Frost scored twice in a 3-0 victory against Columbiana.
COLUMBIANA -- James Frost scored two goals as the Crestview High boys soccer team won the Tri-County League championship with a 3-0 win over Columbiana on Monday.
Cory Leeson added a goal and an assist for the Rebels (11-1-2, 5-0-1). Columbiana is 4-9.
Howland 2, Warren JFK 0
HOWLAND -- Howland improved to 9-4 with a win over Warren JFK.
Ian Jones had a first half goal with an assists from Eric Albani, while Zack Byler scored on a header with 2:31 remaining in the game with an assist from Jones.
Howland goalie Dan Miller had three saves, while JFK (4-6-3) had 14 saves from goalie Matt Kokrak.

Jefferson 1, Mathews 0
VIENNA -- Mathews lost on an own goal late in the second half.
Brett Ford and Sean Kail combined for 20 saves for the Mustangs (1-10). Greg Buchan had 17 saves for Jefferson (3-10).

NEW MIDDLETOWN -- Freshman Breanne Mincher scored all three goals for Springfield in a 3-3 tie with Youngstown Christian.
Kara Cooper scored two goals and Alyssa Rojas had the third for Youngstown Christian (3-8-1).
Each goalie, Heather Cozak of Springfield and Kathy Wengerd of Youngstown Christian, had 15 saves.
Boardman 3, Alliance 0
ALLIANCE -- Boardman used two first half goals to coast past Alliance.
Jenn Libbey and Chloe Zidian scored in the first half with assists from Courtney Gratz and Katie Stoll. Senior Kate Mansfield scored a a direct kick midway through the second half.

Howland 3, Niles 0
NILES -- Erin Gilmour collected two goals and assisted on the third score for Howland (10-0-2, 6-0 Metro Athletic Conference).
Allie Airhart scored the other goal for the Tigers who are the top seed in the Div. I tournament.
Megan Long assisted on a goal and Melissa Airhart posted her fifth shutout with four saves.
Goalie Kelsy Mikesell had five saves for Niles (9-4, 1-4 MAC).
Warren JFK 4, Badger 0
WARREN -- Roxy Hoerig and Lexie Polivka each had a goal and an assist for Warren JFK (7-5-2).
Jenn Natale and Maura Miller added goals, while Jenna Gilmore and Jacqee Lombardi combined for six saves. Katy Dvorack had 11 saves for Badger (6-6-0).
Fitch 4, West Branch 0
AUSTINTOWN -- Jodi Bowlen, Kristi Brendlinger, Brittney Getz and Dina Harris each scored a goal for the Falcons (6-3-3).
Amanda Sprowl, Dana Lucido, Erica Bortmas and Getz each had an assist.
Goalie Cara Calai saved eight shots for Fitch. Mollie Mellinger had seven saves for the Warriors (4-7-2).
Poland 1, Canfield 1 (tie)
CANFIELD -- With about 15 minutes to play Canfield senior stopper Nikki Sorice scored from 12 yards out to tie the match.
Poland took a 1-0 lead on a goal from Ashley Luthern.
Goalie Samantha Stanich had eight saves for Poland (9-2-1).
Ashley Hunter saved 11 shots for the Cardinals (7-3-2, 2-3-1 MAC).
