Maddalone opened a slight cut under Minto's right eye in the second round. The third round turned into a slugfest with Minto scoring with his left jab and several left hook and right cross combinations which opened a cut under Maddalone's right eye.

"I came here in excellent shape and I knew that I had to take the fight to Vinnie," said Minto.
Nelson believes the win will give Minto a big-time fight.
