KATRINA RELIEF
Local organizations contributing aid to Hurricane Katrina victims:
The Missions Club of St. Luke School, Boardman, organized a raffle to raise money for victims. The school contributed $265 to the American Red Cross for disaster relief.
WCI Steel Inc. employees in Warren have donated $8,729 to Gulf Coast hurricane relief efforts. Of that amount, $5,141 went to the Salvation Army's disaster relief fund and $3,588 to the United Steelworkers of America Charitable & amp; Education Fund. The international union will distribute the funds to steelworkers in the affected area. WCI employs about 1,600 at its Warren plant.
