Family celebrates Caranos' 50th during vacation

XCAMPBELL -- Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Carano of Porter Avenue, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their entire family during a 10-day vacation in August at Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Hosts for a celebration held in their honor Oct. 1 at DeMarco's Restaurant in Lowellville, were family members, Mary Ann Martinko, Walter and Cathy Lake, Anita Carano, and Brian and Linda Finnigan, all of Boardman. Also participating were the couple's four grandchildren.
The former Mary DeSantis and Mr. Carano were united in marriage Oct. 1, 1955, at St. Lucy Church where they are members.
Mrs. Carano was employed at Fashion Barn in Youngstown and LaRocca's Restaurant in Poland prior to retiring in 1996. She is a member of Pacentrano Women's Auxiliary, Carovillesi Ladies Club and St. Lucy Infant Guild and Altar and Rosary Society.
Mr. Carano Was employed as a pipefitter with LTV Steel in Campbell and retired in 1982. He is a member of the Pacentrano Men's Club, Carovillesi Men's Club, the Men's Society at St. Lucy Church and the New Middletown Farmer's Club.
