Bortons observe 50th anniversary during luncheon
XYOUNGSTOWN -- A luncheon was held Aug. 21 at the Holiday Inn in Boardman in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick D. Borton of Eden Lane who were celebrating their golden wedding anniversary.
Invitations for the event were issued by their family, James P. and Joanne Borton of Painesville and Thomas J. and Brenda Borton of Mineral Ridge. Two granddaughters complete the family circle.
The former Eleanor M. Terpak and Mr. Borton were united in marriage Sept. 10, 1955, at Holy Name of Jesus Church. They are members of St. Brendan Church.
Mrs. Borton was a secretary with Commercial Piping Co. from 1948 to 1955. She is a member of the Altar and Rosary Society
Mr. Borton served four years with the U.S. Navy as a radioman aboard the USS Wisconsin, USS Pittsburgh and USS Alcar in Europe and the Far East. He retired in 1991 from Ameritech after 37 years of service as assistant manager. He is a member of Pioneers of America.
