Bassi-Kiersted engagement is being announced

XNORTH JACKSON -- The engagement of Maria Bassi, 12710 N. Palmyra Road, and Alan George Kiersted, 27 Rita Drive, Newfoundland, Pa., is being announced by her parents, Donata and Anna Bassi of the North Jackson address.
The future groom is a son of Barbara Kiersted of Rural Route 2, Moscow, Pa., and the late Wilbur Kiersted.
Miss Bassi graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse with Humility of Mary at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.
Mr. Kiersted is a manager and diesel mechanic with Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Tobyhanna, Pa.
The couple have planned a wedding for 2 p.m. April 22, 2006, at St. James Church and will extend invitations for their evening reception at The Avalon Inn and Resort in Howland.
