Barricks mark anniversary with family, friends

XSALEM -- Mr. and Mrs. Dale Barrick, 1920 Whinnery Road, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a dinner party with family members and close friends Sept. 10 at Soffo's Cafe in Boardman.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children and their spouses, Terri Barrick, Lori and Ken Robbins, Dale Lynne and Troy Iler, Beth and Thomas James, all of Salem. Also participating were their six grandchildren. Another daughter, Lynne Barrick is deceased.
The Barricks were united in marriage Sept. 10, 1955, at the United Brethren Evangelical Church in North Lima.
Mrs. Barrick, the former Thelma Kerr, has been employed 17 years as a licensed practical nurse at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana. She served with the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958.
Mr. Barrick retired six years ago from Salem City Schools where he was employed in maintenance.
