SteelHounds will hold party at Jillians

YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown SteelHounds will hold a "Meet the Team" party Oct. 9 at Jillians, located behind Southern Park Mall, from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
The event is free and will be fans' first opportunity to meet the players who will compete to be a part of the inaugural season SteelHounds team.
Also on hand will be coach J.F. LaForest, the Lady SteelHounds, Crusher and all front office staff members.
"This will be a great opportunity for hockey fans to meet and talk to some of the star players and Lady SteelHounds," said George Manias, SteelHounds general manager.
Fans will have the chance to get autographs and take pictures.
Training camp begins the next day at the Youngstown Convocation Center with the players taking the ice at 9:30 a.m.
Individual tickets for the SteelHounds 32-game home schedule will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m.
Tickets will be available at the Youngstown Convocation Center's temporary box office, located at City Center One Building, 100 Federal Plaza East, via the internet by visiting steelhounds.com and at GetTix.net, or by calling (330) 747-PUCK.
Fans can also purchase tickets at the Skate Zone, 5420 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, and USA Cinema, 930 Great East Plaza, Niles.
Tickets range from $10 to $22, and the SteelHounds offer two special section prices -- the McDonald's Family Section ($8) and the Youngstown Harley Hound Pound ($10). There are limited seats available in both special sections so advance purchase is recommended.
The SteelHounds' home opener is Nov. 4 at the Youngstown Convocation Center.
