New Eagle Scout
Max Altman has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a member of Troop 55, Greater Western Reserve Council. His Scoutmaster is Richard Cook. Troop 55 was located in First Christian Church for more than 75 years, but has now moved to First Presbyterian Church, Youngstown.
Altman joined the Cub Scouts in 1996 and received the highest Cub Scout award, the Arrow of Light in 1998. He earned his Religious Emblem, (Aleph Award) as a Cub Scout through the Congregation Rodef Sholom, where he and his parents have been active members.
He became a Boy Scout in 1999, and was inducted into the Order of the Arrow Brotherhood in July 2003.
Altman earned 27 merit badges while working to become an Eagle Scout. He served as the troop's patrol leader, senior patrol leader, quartermaster and troop guide.
His Eagle service project was building four picnic tables to be used at Morley Pavilion in Mill Creek Park especially to provide a place for older people to sit and eat during summer concerts.
Altman was valedictorian of Chaney High School's Class of 2005. He is a National Merit Scholar, placing 101st in the nation. He is currently attending Vanderbilt University in Tennessee on a full-tuition scholarship. He is the son of Neil and Denise Altman of Youngstown.

Joins Cleveland law office
Brian E. Ambrosia is now practicing law in the litigation department in the Cleveland office of Taft, Stettinius & amp; Hollister LLP.
He received his law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2005, graduating cum laude. While in law school, Ambrosia served as the executive editor of The Cleveland State Law Review and was recipient of the Cali Award for Excellence in Commercial Law.
He is a 1998 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, and received his undergraduate degree in finance and management information systems from Ohio University in 2002, graduating cum laude, and was selected as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
He is the son of Jerry and Linda Ambrosia of Hummingbird Hill Drive, Poland.

Alyssa Ann Finamore, formerly of Boardman, has been admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of Virginia and all courts in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Atty. Finamore, the daughter of Archie and Angela Finamore of Boardman, received her juris doctor degree and the Intellectual Property Law certificate from George Mason University School of Law in May, where she was a first-year moot court finalist.
In February 2004, she was admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent & amp; Trademark Office.
She earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering summa cum laude in 2002 from Youngstown State University's Rayen College of Engineering and Technology. She was a 1998 valedictorian of Boardman High School.
Currently, Finamore is employed as a patent attorney with intellectual property law firm of Diederiks & amp; Whitelaw of Woodbridge, Va. She lives in Arlington, Va.

Finsen earns honor
Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Lewis R. Finsen, a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Youngstown, has been named 2005 Trooper of the Year for the Hiram post.
Fellow officers stationed at the Hiram post chose Finsen based on leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude and cooperation with supervisors, peers and the public.
Finsen is in contention for district and state trooper of the year honors. He joined the patrol in 1999 and began his career at the Ashland post. He transferred to the Hiram post in 2001.
Before joining the patrol, he served in the Marine Corps and worked for the Mill Creek Park Police Department. Finsen and his wife live in Canfield with their two children, Leo, 6 and Libby, 4.
