ALLENDALE, Mich. -- Cullen Finnerty threw two touchdown passes and Ryan Hukill ran for another score to lead top-ranked Grand Valley State to a 24-17 Division II quarterfinal victory over Saginaw Valley Saturday.
Grand Valley (11-0) will host East Stroudsburg in a semifinal game Dec. 3.
Trailing 14-7 at halftime, Grand Valley drove 58 yards to tie the game in the third quarter.
The Lakers converted on two fourth-down plays during the drive, including a 16-yard pass from Finnerty to Jeremy Cochrane for a touchdown.
Finnerty passed 58 yards to Eric Fowler to set up a 33-yard field goal by Scott Greene for a 17-14 lead in the third quarter.
A fumble by Saginaw Valley State (11-2) led to a 59-yard Grand Valley scoring drive in the fourth quarter, capped by Hukill's one-yard scoring run for a 24-14 lead.
Bobby Belmonte kicked a 27-yard field goal for Saginaw Valley with 1:38 to play.
East Stroudsburg 55, C.W. Post 28
EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. -- Jimmy Terwilliger threw for 384 yards and five touchdowns to lead East Stroudsburg.
Terwilliger threw for more than 300 yards for the 22nd time in his career, and it was the 36th consecutive game in which he threw a touchdown pass, both Division II records.
Derek Lucas rushed for 103 yards for East Stroudsburg (11-2) and Terwilliger ran for 35. Ben Culver had four catches for 121 yards and a score; Evan Prall and Tim Strenfel each had two touchdowns.
Anthony Lazarus rushed for a game-high 166 yards and scored twice for C.W. Post (10-3), including a one-yard run on his team's first possession.
North Alabama 41, Central Arkansas 38, OT
CONWAY, Ark. -- Yuta Fukuda made a 45-yard field goal in overtime and North Alabama beat Central Arkansas despite squandering a 14-point lead.
Fukuda also kicked a 32-yarder with 1:52 left in regulation to send the game to overtime.
North Alabama (11-2) advances to play Northwest Missouri State in the semifinals next Saturday.
The Lions led 14-0 in the first quarter and 28-14 at the half. But Central Arkansas (11-3) came back and led 38-28 early in the fourth before North Alabama came back to tie it and send the game to overtime.
NW Missouri St. 21, Pittsburg St. 10
PITTSBURG, Kan. -- Josh Lamberson passed for 225 yards and two touchdowns as Northwest Missouri State beat Pittsburg State.
Pittsburg State (10-4) was within 14-10 when Lamberson's 57-yard TD pass to Mike Peterson with 8:57 left put the game away for the Bearcats.
Northwest Missouri (10-3) led 14-3 at halftime on a 1-yard TD run by Daren Roberts and Lamberson's 13-yard scoring pass to Andre Rector.
Xavier Omon rushed for 152 yards on 29 carries for the Bearcats.
