XCOLUMBUS -- New Salem Missionary Baptist Church was the setting at noon Oct. 22 as Micah Adesina Nichols, 1512 Northwest Blvd., and Bryan Todd Cook, 2427 Carolina Ave., were united in marriage by the Rev. Keith A. Troy.
After a reception at Monaco's Palace, the couple left on a wedding trip to Trinidad and Tobago. They live in Blacklick.
Parents of the bride are Deborah A. Dickinson of Bedford Hills and Wilbert Nichols of Evergreen, N.C. The groom is a son of Brenda and Charles Cook Jr., 546 Sunshine Ave., Youngstown.
The bride's strapless ballgown featured a chapel train. She completed her ensemble with a cathedral length veil.
A champagne-colored gown was worn by Tonya Abrams of Washington, who served as honor attendant for her sister.
The duties of best man were shared by Herbert Williams Jr. of Lake Worth, Fla., and Timothy Caffey of Boardman. Guests were ushered by Arthur Abrams Jr. of Charlotte, N.C., the bride's nephew; James Brandon of Huntsville, Ala., her cousin; and Michael Windam of Columbus, the groom's cousin.
The bride graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in political science and received her master's degree in political science from the University of Cincinnati. She is employed by the State of Ohio as a Medicaid policy analyst.
Mr. Cook, a national financial account manager with Nationwide, graduated from OSU with a bachelor's degree in finance.
