XGIRARD -- A reception was held on Oct. 22 at Stambaugh Auditorium Ballroom in Youngstown to honor Michael Neary Jr. and his bride, the former Joanna Sanders, both of 4129 Secor Road, Toledo,who were married at 2 p.m. that day at St. Rose Church.
Monsignor John Zuraw officiated at the ceremony for the daughter of Robert Sanders, 421 Parkview Drive, and the late Mary Ann Sanders, and the son of Michael and Laurie Neary of Oregon, Ohio.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the newlyweds live in Toledo.
The bride, wore an ivory ballgown .
Eggplant-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Heather Howland, and the bridesmaids, Kelly Bloom, Kristen Scarnecchia, Melissa Lasher, Kristin Sandberg, and the groom's sisters, Colleen Neary and Lindsay Cathers.
James Neary performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Ben Feldmeyer, Patrick Walters, Zachary Galilei, Matthew McHugh, Jackson Moyer and Todd Hykes. Ring bearer was the groom's nephew, Joshua Neary.
The bride graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in English. She is a dealer services representative with Harbor Capital Advisors in Toledo.
The groom is a speech/language pathologist with Promedica Health System in Toledo. He graduated from OSU with a bachelor's degree in psychology, speech and hearing sciences and earned his master's in speech/language pathology at Bowling Green State University.
