Police: Father kills son, 26, in quarrel

CANTON (AP) -- A man shot and killed his son after the two got into an argument while preparing Thanksgiving dinner, police said.
Russell Huff II, 49, was charged with murder and was being held in Stark County Jail. Russell Huff III, 26, died of a gunshot wound to the chest.
"They were having a family disagreement, and the father wanted the son to leave, and it escalated beyond that point, and he shot him with a .22-caliber rifle," police Lt. Jerry Steiner said.
The two lived in the home together where police had responded to past calls of domestic violence, Capt. Doug Shackle said.
Only the victim's girlfriend was present during the shooting at 6:50 p.m. Thursday. Police did not say what the disagreement was about.
