NEW YORK -- Shelden Williams matched his career high with 30 points, including the game-winning tip-in with 32 seconds left in the championship game of the NIT Season Tip-Off on Friday. The Blue Devils (5-0) also got 15 points from J.J. Redick and 12 from freshman Josh McRoberts. The Tigers fell to 3-1.

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Sophomore forward Bobby Perry, making his second career start, scored a career-high 22 points Friday night to lead Kentucky. Rajon Rondo added 13 points, nine assists and seven rebounds for the Wildcats (4-1).
No. 14 Florida 74, Florida St. 66
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Taurean Green scored 15 points, all from the free throw line, and Florida overcame a 17-point deficit. Al Horford added 14 points and nine rebounds for the Gators, and Corey Brewer finished with 13 points, six rebounds and six assists. Florida State's top two players, Al Thornton and Alexander Johnson, were in foul trouble much of the game. The Gators (5-0) took advantage with them on the bench.

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas -- Warren Carter's layup as time expired gave Illinois a win in the semifinals of the South Padre Island Invitational. Carter, who was open near the basket, scored the last of his eight points after receiving an inbounds pass from Rich McBride with 2 seconds remaining. It was Illinois' second lead of the second half, after James Augustine's jumper with 4:41 left briefly put Illinois ahead 51-50. Illinois (4-0) advanced to Saturday's championship against Rutgers, which beat Kent State 55-52 in Friday's other semifinal. Augustine led Illinois with 14 points and Shaun Pruitt added 10.
No. 16 UCLA 57, Drexel 56
NEW YORK -- Jordan Farmar made the second of two free throws with 0.8 seconds to play to lift UCLA in the third-place game of the NIT Season Tip-Off on Friday. UCLA (4-1) had tied the game at 56 with 6.8 seconds left on two of three free throws by Arron Afflalo. Drexel (3-2) then turned the ball over when Bashir Mason couldn't handle a hard inbounds pass from Chaz Crawford. Farmar was fouled by Mason and the buzzer sounded but officials reviewed the tape and put 0.8 seconds back on the clock. Farmar, who had a career-high 28 points in the semifinal loss to No. 11 Memphis, didn't even hit the rim with his first throw but his second bounded around the rim and in.
No. 17 Syracuse 96, Siena 77
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Gerry McNamara broke out of his shooting slump, hitting six 3-pointers and scoring a season-high 22 points to lead Syracuse. It was the seventh victory in the series without a defeat for Syracuse (4-2), which was coming off losses to No. 14 Florida and Bucknell. Siena (0-2), which opened its season with an 82-77 road loss to Penn, never had a chance after leading briefly at the outset.

SEATTLE -- Brandon Roy scored 19 points and Ryan Appleby added 18, all on 3-point shooting, to lead Washington. The Huskies (6-0) took advantage of 22 turnovers by the Lions and scored 65 first-half points on the way to its 28th straight home win at Bank of America Arena. The longest home winning streak in the nation will get a stern test in the Huskies' next game, against No. 8 Gonzaga on Dec. 4.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Trent Strickland scored a career-high 25 points to lead Wake Forest. Justin Gray added 19 points for the Demon Deacons (5-1), who extended the nation's fifth-longest home winning streak with their 20th straight victory. D.J. Thompson scored 20 points to lead the Mountaineers (2-1).
