Agency director decides to retire
Two retirements came just before the agency is to merge with another one.
WARREN -- Trumbull County commissioners have accepted the retirement of the Child Support Enforcement Agency director.
Christina D. Campbell leaves as director of the agency effective Wednesday. She has worked for the agency for 29 years.
Joseph Tripodi also retired as administrative officer with the agency, also effective Wednesday. He has worked for the agency for 30 years.
The retirements came one month before their agency is being merged into the county Department of Job and Family Services. The merger will happen Jan. 1.
Also wrapped into the merger are Workforce Development (formerly Private Industry Council), state Wagner-Peyser (formerly Ohio Bureau of Employment Services) and Trumbull County Family and Children First Council (Job and Family Services is its fiscal agent.)

UApproved a decision by the Trumbull County Engineer to grant a permit to Aqua Ohio Inc., 6650 South Avenue, Boardman, for installation of a waterline along Stewart-Sharon Road, 1/2 mile east of Bedford Road S.E. in Brookfield Township.
UApproved a $100,000 loan for Starr Fabricating, Inc., in Vienna Township, from the Trumbull County Revolving Loan Fund. The loan will be at 3 percent interest for five years. It is contingent on approval of a $175,000 loan from the Mahoning Valley Economic Development Corporation and a $175,000 loan from the Reinvestment Partnership Corporation.
The company plans to create 12 new jobs. More than half will be available to people from low and moderate income households. The company plans to use the money to be able to fulfill customer orders. The company employs 54 workers.
UApproved an agreement between the Trumbull County Sheriff's Department and Career and Technical Center on Educational Highway in Champion for the Sheriff's Department to provide a deputy for security during the school day. The school will pay $44,076.90 for the service.
