YSU's last non-conference road win came in the 2001 season when it defeated Robert Morris 69-56. Overall on the road since the 2001 season the Penguins are a disappointing 2-60. Today's game will be the season opener for Akron, which defeated St. Vincent College in an exhibition game 116-65.Next up: The Penguins return home on Wednesday against another Mid-American Conference opponent, Kent State.
