Police identify teen killed in robbery attempt
WARREN -- Police have identified the 16-year-old who was apparently shot and killed during an attempted armed robbery Monday.
Police said Kameil Watson of Warren lived on the southeast side of the city. The Trumbull County Coroner's office said he died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Police believe that Watson was among four males who attempted to rob a pizza shop owner as he was delivering food to a house in the 1500 block of Kenilworth Avenue Southeast.
The shop owner, who has a state permit to carry a firearm, fired three shots when one of the four pulled a knife on him and demanded money.
Watson's body was found near the home Tuesday.
A 17-year-old boy whom police have not identified was treated for a bullet wound after the reported robbery attempt.
