Dinner tickets scarce
WARREN -- The Dec. 3 performance of Tapestries of Ohio's boar's head dinner is sold out, but tickets are still available for the Dec. 2, 9 and 10 dates.
The 12-voice musical group, formed in 1996, repeats its annual Madrigal Dinner format, featuring a medieval dinner, performers in period costumes, a festive Christmas story and songs in the a capella style, as well as instrumental music of the period.
The 2005 performances will be held in the Community Room of the YWCA on North Park Avenue in downtown Warren. Performances begin at 7 p.m. with pre-show music starting at 6:30.

Barko open house
YOUNGSTOWN -- Bob Barko Jr.'s Steel Town Studios will host its fifth anniversary and holiday open house 2-8 p.m. Saturday.
The event will feature artist's works, displays of local memorabilia and artifacts featuring Youngstown popular culture. Idora Park, Isaly's, Mill Creek Park, downtown theaters, stores and more as well as unique gifts with local touch. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free.
Barko's latest original artwork, "If We Build It ... They Will Come," featuring Youngstown's new convocation center, will be displayed and pre-orders will be taken for the upcoming lithograph print.

Tommy Castro returns
STRUTHERS -- With his latest CD riding the "Billboard" blues charts for 19 weeks, Tommy Castro is touring hard to support the work. He'll be back in the area Sunday at The Cellar. Castro is also working on a DVD of his live show, which should be released soon, according to the record company.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Glorybound, a local Gospel group with a country bluegrass sound, has released its third CD, "A Blessing Knowing You." The CD has has four original tunes, including the title track, and classics such as "In the Garden." The 15-track CD also features several upbeat numbers.
